HOW TO GET TO FAMARA
WELCOME!! Your plane has landed and you are finally in Lanzarote. We are going to have so much fun together! But, unfortunately, we cannot pick you up in the airport, as much as we want to, since Surf and Kite Schools in the Canary Islands are prohibited from making transfers from the airport. It really is a shame. But we will not leave you hanging and will tell you about all the ways you can get from the airport to Caleta de Famara where our surf school is located. .
Come to Famara by car

If you intent on getting to know the island, which we would really advise you because it is spectacular, the best option would be to rent a car and travel independently, since public transport on the island is by far less convenient. Renting a car in Lanzarote is quite cheap, and you will have the option of taking the car and returning it at the same airport.
To make it easier for you, you can rent a car starting at €15/day with everything included: full insurance, no mileage limit, no silly penalties. The companies we recommend are Cicar, Payless and Pluscar.

To Famara by Bus

If you arrive in the morning, have time to spare and would like to save some money on the trip, you can always come here by bus. In order to do that, you have to take a bus from the airport to Arrecife first, and then another one from Arrecife to Caleta de Famara. You can find the bus schedule here: intercitybuslanzarote.es
Watch out: Coming from the airport by bus might take a very long time, depending on the bus schedules. So, make sure you check out the schedule and have enough time for the trip.
To Famara by Taxi

The fastest and easiest option is to take a taxi that would cost you approximately 30 euros or a bit more if you arrive at nighttime or on a holiday. There is only one official taxi service in Lanzarote, and you will see their cars as you exit the terminal. They are 100% safe and the larger ones will have no problem fitting your boards inside if you travel with them.
