No matter if you are just interested in having little bit of contact to the sport or want to do a complete course, or maybe have already had classes in the past and would like to improve, at Zoopark Famara we’re sure that we will be your last stop that you make when it comes to learning this fabulous sport.

You might have come to the point where you have thought "this is not for me”, or that you’ll never be able to learn how to kite- COME well promise that you CAN.

Baptism: 1 day/3 hrs.

This course is perfect, if you want to get to know the spot, familiarize yourself with the gear and, learn how to set it all up and to take it apart ,understand how a kite actually works on the beach whilst making your first ride, bit by bit loosing your first personal blockages, and having the opportunity to carry on with lessons.

BEGINNER (initiation) 2 days/ 3 hrs. a day

This course is for those of you who would like to learn how to kite but have not yet had any previous lessons.

No worries, well go step by step!

You’ll learn everything to do with security, for example how to work the quick release, leash, de-power, etc..
Also the importance of the correct set up of the gear as well as window ,control of the kite to both sides of the window and in the power zone, launching and landing within the window, management of the kite in the water, body drag up and downwind, and you’ll start to make your first exercises on the beach that will lead you to the moment of desire: board under your feet. .the water start!

INTERMEDIATE COURSE 4 OR 5 DAYS / 3 HRS, A DAY

The perfect course for you if you really want to learn how to navigate with a kite. Well go a step further now.

You’ll become an independent kiter!

Well go through all the important stuff like the handling and understanding of the quick release, leash, de-power, etc.. Amongst many other things, all that is related to security, the importance of the set up of your gear, You’ll learn everything to do with security, for example how to work the quick release, leash, de-power, etc.. as well as all about the window ,control of the kite to both sides of the window and in the strongest zone, launching and landing within the window, management of the kite in the water, body drag up and downwind, control with one or two hands, re launching the kite in the water, self rescue techniques, the water start and its perfection, controlled navigation, how to gain height, etc.

ADVANCED COURSE

This course is designed for kiter that already know how to kite but wish to improve their technique.

Well aim to get each and every student to be able to:

navigate to and from the beach
weight shift with heel and toes to change direction
acceleration on the edge whilst moving the kite
controlled stop
to be able to ride on the edge
recuperation of the board using the body drag upwind
techniques of self rescue
complete independence to navigate the kite in and out of the water
changing direction
theory of the jump
controlled jump and landing

And of course well resolve all your doubts with what ever issue you may have.
