SURFCAMPS

The surf camp in ZooPark Famara, Surf & Kite School has been designed so you can learn the fastest way, fun and and secure this mithical sport submerged in an atmosphere of companionship and adventure. Adapted to all levels, in our surf camps future surfers from all around the world will be able to experience the magic that Famara beach has to offer (natural park and reserve of the biosphear)

In the beach of Famara you will find perfect conditiones for learning and practising surfing through out all year round in an amazing volcanic sand beach wich is six kilometres long (the longest beach on the island). Every morning our qualified instructors by the Australian federation, Bask or Canarian surfing federation and experts in first aid, will look for the best conditiones so that our students can start to learn.

Grouped up in small groups so you can recieve the best attention posible acording to your level to help you progress and get better ,this way everyone will see how they evolve and can take more lessons according to there level. Don´t worry here theres no need to feel embarased. We start off with explaining the conditiones of the spot (the beach type of waves, the currents, reference points, etc...) then we start off with a small warm up then explain the basics on land (paddeling, board positioning, ways of how to stand up, security in the water, balance...finishing this will now enter the water and try to put to practice everything we have learnt on land: we will continue with exercises to improve our technique, like wave selection postioning our selves and correcting our stance, eskimoroll, duck diving, etc... so after we come out the water we can correct things. As u can see we are not five hours straight in the water paddling like mad so we don´t tired our students out the lessons are broken down so we can explain everything on the sand then the instructors will put you back in the water and observe you correct you and if needed bring you out of the water and correct you on the beach then after that everybody stops half way thru and we have a lunch on the beach so you guys can regain your energy and that way u can all ask each other how you think you are getting on thru the first part of the lesson.

We have lessons everyday of the week starting from 10:30am till 15:30 pm, so you guys can choose your days and decide what u want to do with your spare time.

BEGINNERS LEVEL 1

In this level you are all beginers so dont worry.The instructors are highly motivated to teach you and have a lot of pacience so that they can help you catch your first waves.You will see your surfing progress in the best enviroment.Our qualified instructors and experts in lifesaving can guarantee that in 25h you will be standing up on your surf board.You will learn all the techniques and safety procedures of how to learn to surf so that way u can become independent surfers so you can go anywere and surf.All of this in a fun place to learn.zoopark famara guarantees you that in 5 days you will be surfing if not you can do another surf course for free.

INTERMEDIATES/ADVANCED LEVEL 2

For all the surfers that have already done a level 1 course and can surf at a higher standard than a beginner but need some coaching to correct there technique or people that have started late and need to refresh there minds. Meanwhile they share there experiences with the group of places they have been or those that have a good level of surfing and want to improve there surfing or learn new tricks that is why we have created this surf camp. Our surf instructors will evaluate you, guiding you and correcting everything necesary to help you progress in your surfing.

7 nights of acommodation a surf house 50 meters away from Famara beach 5 days of 5 hour lessons per day 10.30am till 15.30 pm (25 hours) All the equipment included during the lessons, boards, wetsuits, leashes, licras, etc... Although we recomend that you rent a car as there is so much to see in lanzarote after you finish surfing. And if you don´t want to rent a car we can organize a taxi to pick you up at the airport (maximum four people per taxi)

If your friends, girlfriend or boyfriend or family member doesn´t want to surf don´t worry they can acompany you and relax enjoying the sun or the beach taking some pictures of you surfing and sharing that moment with you on the sand. And of course they are welcome to the picnic on the beach.
